Baya Bouzar (born September 13, 1952) is an amazing Algerian singer, dancer, and actress. She is best known by her stage name, Biyouna. She was born in a place called Belcourt in Algeria, which is now known as Belouizdad.

About Biyouna's Life
Her Early Days
Biyouna loved singing from a very young age. She joined different music groups. First, she played the tambourine in Fadhéla Dziria's group. Later, she led her own group. She became a popular singer for wedding parties.
When she was 17, she started performing in big music clubs. At 19, she became a dancer at the famous Copacabana club.
Becoming an Actress
In the same year she started dancing, Biyouna got her first acting role. Director Mustapha Badie cast her in a TV show called La Grande Maison (1973). She played a character named Fatma. This role made her very well-known.
She also appeared in two Algerian movies. These were Leila and the others (1978) and The Neighbor (2000). Biyouna also performed in her own one-woman shows.
In 1999, she worked with Nadir Moknèche on the film Madame Osmane's Harem. She played the role of Meriem. They worked together again on Viva Laldjéri in 2003.
From 2002 to 2005, Biyouna starred in a popular TV series. It was a trilogy about Ramadan called Nass Mlah City.
She played the main character, Madame Aldjeria, in the film Délice Paloma. In 2006, she performed in an opera called Elektra with Jane Birkin. In 2007, she had a small part in the Algerian film Rendez-vous avec le destin.
In 2009, she acted in a play called La Celestina in Paris. For Ramadan in 2010, Biyouna was a star in the TV show Nsibti Laaziza.
Her Music Journey
While acting, Biyouna kept singing. In 2001, she released her album Raid Zone. She worked with composer John Bagnolett on this album.
After this success, she released another album called Blonde dans la casbah. She took her time to choose songs for this album. It mixed French and Algerian music styles.
Biyouna lives in a suburb of Algiers with her husband and their four children.
