Her Early Life and Musical Start

Biyouna loved singing from a very young age. She joined several music groups. First, she played the tambourine in Fadhéla Dziria's group. Later, she led her own group with her friend Flifla.

Eventually, she formed her own band where she was the main singer. Her group became very popular for performing at wedding parties. When she was 17, Biyouna started performing in big music venues. By the age of 19, she was dancing at a famous place called the Copacabana.

Becoming a Star: Biyouna's Acting Journey

Biyouna's acting career began when she was still young. A director named Mustapha Badie gave her a singing role in his first TV show, La Grande Maison, in 1973. She played a character named Fatma. This show was based on a book by Mohamed Dib, and it made Biyouna very famous.

She also acted in Algerian movies, like Leila and the others in 1978 and The Neighbor in 2000. Biyouna even had her own one-woman shows, where she performed by herself.

In 1999, director Nadir Moknèche cast her in the film Madame Osmane's Harem, where she played Meriem. She worked with him again in the movie Viva Laldjéri in 2003.

From 2002 to 2005, Biyouna became very popular for a series of three TV shows about Ramadan, called Nass Mlah City. She also played the main character, Madame Aldjeria, in Nadir Moknèche's film Délice Paloma. In 2006, she performed in an opera called Elektra alongside the famous actress Jane Birkin. Biyouna also had a role in the Algerian film Rendez-vous avec le destin in 2007.
