Biyouna, whose real name is Baya Bouzar, was born on September 13, 1952. She is a famous singer, dancer, and actress from Algeria. She was born in a place called Belcourt, which is now known as Belouizdad, in Algiers.

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Biyouna loved singing from a very young age. She joined several music groups. First, she played the tambourine in Fadhéla Dziria's group.
Later, she led another group with her friend Flifla. Finally, she started her own group where she was the main singer. People often asked her to perform at wedding parties.
When she was 17, Biyouna started performing in big clubs in the city. At 19, she began dancing at a famous place called Copacabana.
Acting Career Highlights
In 1973, when Biyouna was 19, a director named Mustapha Badie gave her a singing role. This was in his first TV show, La Grande Maison. She played a character named Fatma. This role made her very well-known.
Early Films and Shows
Biyouna appeared in two Algerian movies. These were Leila and the others in 1978 and The Neighbor in 2000. She also performed her own one-woman shows, where she was the only performer.
In 1999, she got a role in the movie Madame Osmane's Harem. She played Meriem in this film, which was made in France. After that, she starred in Viva Laldjéri in 2003.
Popular TV Series
Between 2002 and 2005, Biyouna became very popular with a TV series. It was a trilogy (three parts) about the theme of Ramadan. The series was called 'Nass Mlah City.
Later Film Roles
Biyouna also starred in the movie Délice Paloma. In this film, she played the main character, Madame Aldjeria, who was a strong leader. In 2006, she performed in an opera called Elektra alongside Jane Birkin.
In 2007, she had a small part in an Algerian movie called Rendez-vous avec le destin. In 2009, she acted in a play called La Celestina in Paris. For Ramadan in 2010, Biyouna was a star in a TV show called Nsibti Laaziza.

While acting, Biyouna also kept up her singing career. In 2001, she released an album called Raid Zone. She worked with a composer named John Bagnolett on this album.
After Raid Zone was successful, she released another album. This album was called Blonde dans la casbah. She had planned this album for a long time. Biyouna carefully chose songs that mixed French and Algerian cultures.
