  • Remembering their roots in the Southern United States.

What Does BAP Work On?

BAP works on many different issues. They focus on peace and human rights for everyone. They also teach people about anti-imperialism.

BAP's Work in the United States

Inside the U.S., BAP has several goals:

  • They are against Israeli training for American police.
  • They oppose a program that gives military gear to police. This program is called the 1033 program.
  • BAP calls for police to be held responsible for their actions.
  • They want to end a police program called Operation Relentless Pursuit.
  • The group also wants to cut the U.S. military budget by half. They believe this money should be used to help Americans with their human rights needs.
  • BAP asks the U.S. Congress to pass laws. These laws would support getting rid of nuclear weapons.

BAP's Work Around the World

When it comes to other countries, BAP's main goal is to shut down the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM). They want to end all U.S. involvement in Africa. BAP also aims to:

  • Get rid of NATO.
  • Close the more than 800 U.S. military bases in other countries.
  • End all foreign interventions and unfair punishments (sanctions).
  • Make sure the U.S. follows international law.
