Black Magic is a well-known British brand of chocolates that come in a special box. It was first made by a company called Rowntree's in 1933. Today, another big company, Nestlé, owns the brand.
When Black Magic chocolates first came out, they were a special treat that wasn't too expensive. Many people bought them as a nice gift for someone they liked. In the 1970s, the chocolates became even more famous because of their TV adverts. These adverts used a catchy question: "Who knows the secret of the Black Magic box?" A composer named Christopher Gunning wrote the music for these popular adverts, which were shown on British television from 1971 and continued into the 1980s.
