Blaine Stanley's Rugby Career
Blaine Stanley is an Indigenous Australian from Wellington, New South Wales. He was a talented player who mostly played as a halfback. Sometimes, he also played as a five-eighth. These positions are very important for guiding the team's attack.
Playing for the Cronulla Sharks
Blaine started his professional career with the Cronulla Sharks. He played for them from 1998 to 2000. During these three years, he played in 28 top-level games. These games are called "first-grade appearances."
One of his best games was in 2000 against the North Queensland Cowboys. In that single game, Blaine scored an amazing 22 points! He scored two tries and kicked seven goals. This was the highest number of points he ever scored in one game during his career.
Joining the South Sydney Rabbitohs
In the 2002 NRL season, Blaine moved to the South Sydney Rabbitohs. This was a special time for the Rabbitohs. They were rejoining the league after being away for two years.
Blaine played in seven first-grade games for South Sydney. He showed his skills and helped the team in their return season.
Returning Home to Wellington
