The Armada's Hockey Journey
The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada has an interesting past. It started as the St. John's Fog Devils in Newfoundland. That was in 2005.
Moving to Montreal
In 2008, the team was sold. The new owners wanted to move it to Montreal. It then became known as the Montreal Junior Hockey Club.
Finding a Home in Boisbriand
In June 2011, the team moved again. It was bought by a group led by Joël Bouchard. He was a former player in the NHL. The team moved to Boisbriand, Quebec. This move happened for the 2011–12 hockey season. On July 12, 2011, the team showed off its new name, logo, and colors. That's when they officially became the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.
Coaching Changes
In 2018, Joël Bouchard left the Armada. He was the head coach and general manager. He was hired by the Montreal Canadiens. This is a famous NHL team. He went to coach their minor league team. That team is called the Laval Rocket. They play in the American Hockey League.

The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada has had many strong seasons. They often finished at the top of their division. This shows they are a very competitive team.
