Blake Taaffe, born on April 21, 1999, is an Australian professional rugby league player. He plays as a fullback, which is a key position in the game. Currently, he plays for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL). The NRL is Australia's top rugby league competition. Before joining the Bulldogs, he played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Playing Career
Starting in 2021
Blake Taaffe began his professional rugby league career in 2021. He made his first big game debut for the South Sydney team. This happened in round 15 of the 2021 NRL season. His team won that game against the Brisbane Broncos with a score of 46-0.
Blake played eight games for South Sydney during the 2021 NRL season. He even played in the 2021 NRL Grand Final. However, his team lost that final game to the Penrith team.
The 2022 Season
In 2022, Blake played ten games for the South Sydney team. Even though South Sydney made it to the preliminary final, Blake did not play in their final matches. They lost to Penrith again in that preliminary final.
Highlights of 2023
During round 19 of the 2023 NRL season, Blake scored two tries for South Sydney. This was in a close game where they lost 36-32 to Canterbury.
On July 31, Blake signed a new two-year contract. This deal meant he would join the Canterbury Bulldogs starting in 2024.
On September 24, Blake played for South Sydney in the 2023 NSW Cup grand final. His team won this important game against the North Sydney team. Blake was even named the man of the match for his great performance in the final. This means he was the best player in that game.
The 2024 Season
In round 1 of the 2024 NRL season, Blake played his first game for the Canterbury Bulldogs. This was his club debut for the team. They lost that game 28-6 to their rivals, the Parramatta team.
Blake played nine games for Canterbury during the 2024 NRL season. His team played well enough to make it to the finals. They finished the season in 6th place on the league table.
