Blanca Soto's Journey to Stardom
From Beauty Queen to Actress
Blanca Soto started her career in 1997 by joining the beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza México. She represented her home state of Nuevo León. In the same year, she became Miss Mexico World. This allowed her to represent Mexico in the international beauty contest Vina Del Mar in Chile.
Her first acting role was in a short film called La Vida Blanca. She also helped produce this film with her husband at the time, Jack Hartnett. She even won her first award for Best Actress for this role.
Becoming a Star in TV and Movies
Blanca Soto quickly moved on to bigger roles. She appeared in movies like "Divina Confusion," Deep in the Valley, and Dinner for Schmucks. She became very famous for her lead roles in telenovelas (Spanish-language TV dramas).
She starred in Eva Luna (2010–2011) as Eva Gonzalez. Then, she played Camila Nájera in El Talismán (2012). She also worked with actor Fernando Colunga in the telenovela Porque el amor manda from 2012 to 2013. Later, she took on the lead role of Sara Aguilar in Señora Acero from 2014 to 2016. In 2019, she played Mónica Saldaña in the show You Cannot Hide.
