Blooming Glen is a small, quiet community in Hilltown Township, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community, which means it's a place with a shared identity but without its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's governed by the larger township it's a part of.

The Story of Blooming Glen's Name

Blooming Glen has had a few different names over the years! For a very short time, it was actually called "Perkasie." Imagine that!

Later, in the 1870s, the community was known as "Moyers Store." This was because the local post office was named Moyers Store, and a man named John S. Moyer was in charge of it as the postmaster. A postmaster is the person who manages a post office and makes sure mail gets delivered.

When John S. Moyer passed away, the name of the community changed again. That's when it officially became known as Blooming Glen. William D. Bishop was then chosen to be the next postmaster for the area.

Where is Blooming Glen?

Blooming Glen is easy to find on a map! It's located right where two roads meet: Pennsylvania Route 113 and Blooming Glen Road. This intersection helps define the heart of the community.
