History
Bloomingport has a long history. It was first planned out around the year 1828. Back then, it was known as Bloomingsport.
Later, in 1851, a post office was opened in Bloomingport. This was a very important place for people to send and receive letters. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed its doors in 1905.
