Blue Lagoon Water Park is an indoor waterpark near Canaston Bridge in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Blue Lagoon is located in the Bluestone National Park Resort. It was opened in summer 2008.

Features

The waterpark features a lazy river that exits the building to an outdoor bubble pool. There's also an outdoor and indoor spa pool and two interactive wet play areas – one for under 5 years and one for 6–12 years.

There are loungers, patios, observation decks and timber walkways and the temperatures and humidity within the structure are maintained at constant levels.

Overlooking the whole complex are wet and dry café and bar areas. Blue Lagoon Water Park is the world's first waterpark to be heated by biomass. Warmth is provided by the nearby energy centre, which is fuelled by woodchip and Miscanthus giganteus grown by local farmers. The building is one of the largest waterparks in Wales at 90m long by 40m wide.

Construction

The roof structure is constructed of timber frame, covered in wood tiles and two layers of transparent plastic and shaped like an upturned Cleddau coracle.
