Blue Lagoon Water Park is a super fun indoor waterpark located in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It's near a place called Canaston Bridge. This amazing water park is part of the Bluestone National Park Resort. It first opened its doors in the summer of 2008, ready for everyone to enjoy!

What Can You Do There?

Blue Lagoon Water Park has lots of cool things to do.

Water Fun

• There's a relaxing lazy river. It even goes outside to a bubbly pool!
• You can also find both outdoor and indoor spa pools. These are great for chilling out.
• Kids have two special wet play areas. One is for younger children (under 5). The other is for older kids (6–12 years old).

Comfort and Design

• Inside the park, you'll find comfy loungers and places to sit.
• There are also observation decks to watch all the fun.
• The air temperature and humidity are always kept just right. This makes it a pleasant place to swim and play.
• You can grab a snack or drink at the café and bar areas. These overlook the whole water park.

Eco-Friendly Heating

Blue Lagoon Water Park is very special. It's the first water park in the world to be heated by something called biomass. This means it uses natural materials for warmth.

• Heat comes from a nearby energy center.
• This center burns woodchip and a special plant called Miscanthus giganteus.
• Local farmers grow these materials. This helps the environment!
• The building itself is huge. It's 90 meters long and 40 meters wide. This makes it one of the biggest water parks in Wales.

How Was It Built?

The roof of Blue Lagoon Water Park is very unique.

• It's made from a timber (wood) frame.
• This frame is covered with wood tiles.
• It also has two layers of clear plastic.
• The roof is shaped like an upside-down Cleddau coracle. A coracle is a small, round boat traditionally used in Wales.
