How Blue Ridge Started

Post Office and School
A post office opened in Blue Ridge in 1847. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. However, the post office closed down in 1907. Blue Ridge also had a school at one point. We don't know exactly when it closed, but it was an important part of the community for a while.
