Boí Taüll Resort is a fun ski resort found in the middle of the Pyrenees mountains. It is located in the Vall de Boí area of Catalonia, Spain. This resort first opened its doors in 1988.

The ski area at Boí Taüll is quite high up. It stretches from 2,020 meters (about 6,627 feet) all the way up to 2,751 meters (about 9,026 feet). This makes it a great place for skiing and snowboarding.

Exploring Boí Taüll Resort

Boí Taüll Resort is mainly located in a small area called the Mulleres Valley. There are plans to make it even bigger in the future by expanding into the Manyanet Valley. This would add more exciting slopes and areas to explore.

Where the Fun Begins

The main activity hub and parking area are at a spot called Pla de les Vaques. This area is at 2,020 meters high. From here, you can catch different types of ski lifts to go up the mountain.

There are four chairlifts, one platter lift, and three special "magic carpets." These magic carpets are like moving sidewalks that help beginners get up small slopes easily.

Reaching the Top

The highest point at the resort is called Puig Falcó, which is 2,751 meters high. From the top, you can see amazing views of the surrounding areas. You can even spot the Pic of the Orri, which is a peak in the nearby ski resort of Port Ainé.

Boí Taüll Resort holds a special record. It is the highest point of any ski resort in the Catalan Pyrenees. It is also very close to the edge of the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. This park is a beautiful natural area with stunning lakes and mountains.

Ski Slopes and Lifts

Boí Taüll offers a variety of ski slopes for all skill levels. There are 52 trails in total, covering about 45 kilometers (28 miles).

Trail Difficulty

The trails are marked with different colors to show how difficult they are:

  • Green trails: These are the easiest, perfect for beginners. There are 10 green trails.
  • Blue trails: These are a bit harder than green, good for skiers who have some experience. There are 7 blue trails.
  • Red trails: These are more challenging and suitable for intermediate skiers. There are 26 red trails.
  • Black trails: These are the most difficult, designed for expert skiers. There are 9 black trails.

Lift System

To get you up the mountain, the resort has 9 different ski lifts. Together, these lifts can carry up to 13,520 skiers every hour. This means less waiting and more time on the slopes!
