Bobadilla, also known as Bobadilla Pueblo (which means "Bobadilla Village"), is a small Spanish village. It is located in the province of Málaga, in the region of Andalusia. This village is part of the larger municipality of Antequera. You can find it in the western part of Antequera's area, just 3 kilometers away from the main Bobadilla railway station.

Bobadilla's Story
Bobadilla was once an independent village. It was settled by people from El Salvador. However, in 1857, it became part of the larger town of Antequera.
A notable event happened on March 30, 1950. A mail train traveling from Madrid to Málaga had an accident. It derailed at a set of points near Bobadilla station. This unfortunate event resulted in 8 people losing their lives and 30 others being injured.
Where is Bobadilla?
Bobadilla is a charming village with many white houses. It is surrounded by beautiful olive groves. The village is about 13 kilometers west of Antequera. It is also 10 kilometers south of another town called Humilladero.
There is another place nearby that grew up around the train station. This settlement is called Bobadilla Estación. So, remember, there's the quiet village and the busier area around the station!
Village Life and Traditions
The people of Bobadilla love to celebrate! The village's main festival takes place every year in August. It's a time for fun and community gatherings.
Another important tradition is the romería. This is a special pilgrimage or procession. It happens from May 14 to May 16 each year. People often walk or ride to a shrine or a special place during this time.
