Bobby Lee Bonds Jr. was born on March 7, 1970. He used to play professional baseball in the minor leagues. His dad, Bobby Bonds, was also a famous baseball player. Bobby Jr. is the younger brother of Barry Bonds. After high school, he played baseball at Cañada College. He was chosen in the 1992 baseball draft.
Bobby Bonds Jr.'s Baseball Journey
Bobby Jr. started his professional baseball journey in the Rookie League. In his first year, he moved up to a slightly higher level called Low-A.
Moving Up in the Minor Leagues
In 1993, he played for the Waterloo Diamonds in Single-A baseball. The year 1994 was one of his best seasons. He jumped from Single-A all the way to Triple-A.
Playing for the Giants Organization
Bobby Jr. began the 1995 season in High-A. Later that year, he joined the San Francisco Giants organization. This was the same team his brother, Barry Bonds, played for.
In 1998, Bobby Jr. started with an independent team, the Sonoma County Crushers. After that, he played for the Giants' Double-A and Triple-A teams. He spent the rest of his baseball career, from 1999 to 2002, with other independent minor league teams.
