The Bolivian Football Federation (which is called Federación Boliviana de Fútbol in Spanish, or FBF for short) is the main group that organizes and manages football (soccer) in Bolivia. It was started in 1925, making it one of the oldest football organizations in South America. The FBF joined CONMEBOL (the South American football confederation) and FIFA (the world football body) in 1926. It is in charge of the Bolivia national football team, which represents Bolivia in international matches.
The FBF is made up of two main parts:
- The Bolivian Primera División: This is where the 12 professional football teams in Bolivia's top league play.
- The Asociación de Fútbol Nacional (ANF): This group includes 9 different football associations, one from each of Bolivia's nine regions.
César Salinas was the president of the federation from 2018 until he passed away in 2020.
