How Borges Started
Borges International Group has a long history. It began in 1896. A couple named Antonio Pont Pont and Dolores Creus Casanovas started it. They called their first company Industrias Pont.
At first, they mainly sold almonds and olives. These were common products in their region of Spain. In 1914, the company grew bigger. They bought an oil mill to start making their own olive oil. This was a big step towards becoming an industrial food company.
Later, in 1985, Borges started to expand internationally. They opened their first office outside Spain. This office was in California, USA. It helped them get walnuts and almonds from other countries.
Borges Around the World
Borges International Group is very active all over the world. About 75% of everything they sell goes to other countries. This means most of their business is international.
The company is one of the top leaders globally. They are known for their olive oil, vinegar, walnuts, olives, and almonds. Borges is also part of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum. This group includes important Spanish companies that are well-known internationally.
