Bosco Wong (Chinese: 黃宗澤) is a famous actor, singer, and businessman from Hong Kong. He became very popular after starring in the TV drama Triumph in the Skies in 2003. Since then, he has played many different kinds of characters in shows like Wars of In-laws (2005), Dicey Business (2006), Lives of Omission (2011), and the Flying Tiger series. In 2014, Bosco won the Best Actor award at the China Image Film Festival for his role in the movie Golden Brother.
Besides acting and singing, Bosco also owns a restaurant called Oystermine in Hong Kong.

Acting Career: From Newcomer to Star
Becoming a Star: Early Years (1998-2005)
In 1998, Bosco Wong was discovered by a talent scout on the street. He filmed a commercial for lemon tea. Recruiters offered him more chances to act, but Bosco wanted to finish high school first.
After graduating, Bosco joined the TV station TVB in 1999 when he was 19 years old. He started by hosting different TV shows and playing small roles in dramas.
Bosco's first official acting role was in Burning Flame II (2002). He then appeared in the historical series Find the Light and the teen drama Aqua Heroes. He became well-known as Chris, a pilot trainee, in the hit show Triumph in the Skies in 2003.
In 2004, he played the main character in the action drama Wong Fei Hung – Master of Kung Fu. The next year, in 2005, he starred with Liza Wang and Myolie Wu in the comedy Wars of In-Laws. For this role, he won the TVB Award for Most Improved Actor that year.
Big Roles and Mainstream Success (2006-2017)
Bosco's acting as a shy young man in Dicey Business (2006) made him even more popular. People started to see him as a rising star. He made his first movie appearance in The Luckiest Man in 2008.
In 2011, he played a tough gang leader named "Bai Co" or "Cripple Co" in Lives of Omission. Bosco said that as he got older, he enjoyed playing more serious characters. He had a lot of fun playing "Crippled Co."
He also received praise for his honest acting in the movie Love In Time (2012). His role as Sit Ho Ching in Golden Brother was very well-received. This role helped him win the Best Leading Actor award at the 2014 China Image Film Festival.
In 2014, Bosco played the famous detective Di Renjie in the TV drama Young Sherlock. He also starred in the 2016 drama Two Steps From Heaven. In this show, he played Sheldon Chun, a public relations director who becomes very determined to succeed.
In December 2016, Bosco announced he would not renew his contract with TVB. This ended his 17-year career with the station. His last TVB drama was Heart of Greed 3.
Joining Shaw Brothers and New Adventures (2018-Present)
Bosco joined Shaw Brothers Studio in 2017. He starred in action crime dramas like Flying Tiger and Guardian Angel.
In December 2018, Bosco got hurt while filming an action scene for Flying Tiger 2. He fractured his left foot and needed surgery. He stayed in the hospital for five days. He went back to filming in January, using a stunt double for his action scenes.
In April 2019, Bosco started filming the web drama White War, where he plays an undercover police officer. He began filming the third part of the Flying Tiger series, Flying Tiger III, in July 2020.
Singing Career
In October 2008, Bosco signed a music deal with East Asia Music. He released his first music album (called an EP) in December of the same year. His second EP, Bravo, came out in June 2010.
Personal Life
Bosco Wong started dating his Wars of In-laws co-star Myolie Wu in 2005. On July 25, 2012, Bosco announced that they had broken up. In 2014, Bosco dated model Vanessa Yeung for a short time.
