Botoșana (which is Botuschana in German) is a small community in northeastern Romania. It is found in Suceava County, a region known as Bukovina. A commune is like a small local government area, often made up of one or more villages.
Botoșana commune is currently made up of just one village, which is also called Botoșana. For many years, two other villages, Comănești and Humoreni, were part of Botoșana. However, in 2002, these two villages became their own separate commune, called Comănești.
