Bouck's Falls is a beautiful waterfall in Fulton, a town in Schoharie County, New York. It stands about 170 feet (52 meters) tall! The falls are named after the family of William C. Bouck, who used to be the governor of New York.

Today, the waterfall and the land around it belong to the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) people. In April 2020, the New York State Government officially recognized Bouck's Falls as a very important and sacred place.

Early Settlement

The area around Bouck's Falls was settled by the British Crown in the early 1600s. Back then, this region was considered part of Albany County.

A House Near the Falls

Later, in 1856, a house was built very close to the waterfall. This shows that people have lived near and appreciated Bouck's Falls for a long time.

Bouck's Falls Today

The waterfall is currently located on private property. This means it is not open to the public for visits without permission.
