Brad Cotter (born September 29, 1970) is an American country music singer. He became famous after winning the TV show Nashville Star in 2004. This show was a singing competition on the USA Network. After winning, he signed with Epic Records. He released his first album, Patient Man, which had a popular song called "I Meant To." Later, in 2007, he released another music collection called Continuity.

Brad Cotter's Life Story
Brad Cotter was born in Opelika, Alabama. When he was young, he learned music from Jerry Redd. Jerry Redd had worked with famous artists like Elvis Presley.
Early Music Days
Brad first sang in public when he was just nine years old. This happened at a church in Columbus, Georgia. Over the next eight years, he recorded five gospel music albums. He was even named the "top child Gospel soloist in America."
As a teenager, Brad took a break from performing. But he soon returned to music in Auburn, Alabama. There, he joined a music group called Silverado.
Moving to Nashville
In 1993, Brad left Silverado. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee, which is a big city for country music. He wanted to become a solo singer and a songwriter. He wrote songs for other artists, like Tommy Shane Steiner and Chad Brock. He also recorded demo songs to show his talent.
Winning Nashville Star
Brad then competed on the TV show Nashville Star. He won the competition! This led to him signing a record deal with Epic Records.
His first album, Patient Man, came out in 2004. It included three songs that became popular on the country music charts. One of these was "I Meant To." Brad left Epic Records before the company closed its Nashville office in 2005.
In 2007, Brad signed with Adobe Road Records. He released a shorter music collection called Continuity.
