Bradley Tighe, born on April 5, 1984, is a former professional rugby league player from Australia. He was known for playing in the Centre (CE) and Wing (WG) positions. During his career, he played for three major teams in Australia's top rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). These teams were the Newcastle Knights, Penrith Panthers, and Gold Coast Titans.

Brad Tighe's Rugby League Journey

Starting with the Newcastle Knights

Brad Tighe began his professional rugby league career in 2005. He joined the first-grade team for the Newcastle Knights that year. This happened because several players were injured, opening a spot for him.

His first year in the NRL was quite successful for him personally. He played 20 games and scored 52 points. However, his team, the Newcastle Knights, had a tough season. They finished last in the competition.

In 2006, Brad mostly played in the premier league, which is a level below the main NRL competition. By 2007, he became a regular player in the Centre position for the Knights. Towards the end of 2007, the coach, Brian Smith, told him that he would not be needed for the next season.

Moving to the Penrith Panthers

In 2008, Brad Tighe started a new chapter in his career. He joined the Penrith Panthers team. He quickly became a regular player in their starting lineup. He played many games for the Panthers over several seasons.

Time with the Gold Coast Titans

On January 7, 2014, Brad Tighe made another move. He left the Penrith Panthers to join the Gold Coast Titans. This was part of a player exchange deal. He played for the Titans for two seasons.

Retirement from Professional Play

After leaving the Gold Coast Titans, Brad Tighe continued to play rugby league. He spent four seasons with the Western Suburbs team. This team played in the local Newcastle rugby league competition. He officially retired from playing at the end of the 2019 season.
