Bramble is a small, unincorporated community located in Perry Township, within Martin County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. An unincorporated community is a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
A Look Back at Bramble's History
Imagine a time before emails and cell phones! People relied on post offices to send and receive letters. Bramble had its own post office, which opened in 1879. It served the community for many years, but eventually closed down in 1906. The community of Bramble was named after the person who originally owned the land where the community was built.
