Brats of the Lost Nebula is an exciting science fiction TV show that mixes puppets and computer animation! It first aired in 1998 on Kids' WB. The show was created by Dan Clark and used amazing puppets from Jim Henson's Creature Shop. It also featured cool computer graphics from C.O.R.E. Digital Effects.
The story is about five brave orphans from different planets. They team up to fight a scary group called "The Shock." Two of the orphans are even brother and sister!
Even though the show was canceled in the USA after only three episodes, all the episodes were shown in Canada on YTV. Years later, in April 2020, all the episodes finally became available to watch in the USA on Roku.
Meet the Orphans
The main characters in Brats of the Lost Nebula are a group of young heroes. They call themselves orphans because they lost their families. Each one has special skills and unique traits from their home planets.
After their home worlds are attacked by "The Shock," five kids escape. They meet on a living planet and decide to start a rebellion. Their main goal is to fight "The Shock" and find their lost parents.
Here are the main characters:
- Zadam (voiced by Kirby Morrow) – He is the leader of the group and the older brother of Triply.
- Triply (voiced by Annick Obonsawin) – She is Zadam's younger sister.
- Duncan (voiced by Glenn Cross) – He is strong and good at fixing things.
- Ryle (voiced by Evan Sabba) – He has blue skin and horns. Ryle is very competitive.
- Lavana (voiced by Deborah Odell) – She is a winged elf with special mystic powers.
The orphans get help from a long-eared animal named Splook. Splook has a special suit of armor that can fire missiles! They also get help from SMARTS, who is the smartest computer in the whole universe. The Brats fly into battle using their own special space cruisers.
