Brely Evans is an American actress, singer, songwriter, producer, author, and comedian. She started her career in the 1990s as a singer in an R&B music group called Emage. Later, she became well-known for her acting roles in movies like Sparkle (2012) and The Man in 3B (2015). She also starred in TV shows such as Ambitions (2019), The Family Business (2020–2022), and Haus of Vicious (2022–present).

Early Life and Music Career
Brely Evans was born and grew up in Oakland, California. In the early 1990s, she was part of an R&B group named Emage. Their only album, Soul Deep, came out in 1994. The group had one song that became popular, "The Choice Is Yours."
After her time with Emage, Brely went to college in Los Angeles. She earned a degree in marketing. She also became a session singer, which means she sang backup for other artists. She worked on songs for Warren G and even on Dr. Dre’s first album, The Chronic. Before becoming a full-time actress, Brely also worked as a real estate agent. She even sold a house to the famous artist Queen Latifah.
Acting Career Begins
In the 2010s, Brely Evans started acting in movies. Some of her early films include He's Mine Not Yours (2011) and Note to Self (2012). A big role for her was in the 2012 movie Sparkle. She also appeared in David E. Talbert's Suddenly Single (2013) and Black Coffee (2014).
Brely took on a main role in the movie You Can't Fight Christmas (2017). On television, she had repeated roles in the BET show Being Mary Jane from 2014 to 2015. She also appeared in the TV One comedy series Born Again Virgin in 2015.
Recent Roles in TV and Film
In 2019, Brely Evans got two important roles in TV shows. First, she played a main character named Joy Beane in the Bounce TV comedy series Last Call. Later that year, she joined the cast of the Oprah Winfrey Network show Ambitions. In this show, she played Rondell Lancaster, who was the sister of the mayor.
In 2020, Brely starred in the TV movie Steppin' Back to Love. She also appeared in the horror series Terror Lake Drive and the comedy-drama For the Love of Jason.
From 2020 to 2022, Brely Evans played Sonya Duncan in the BET crime drama series The Family Business. Her role became even bigger in the fourth season. In 2022, she starred in the thriller film Stalked Within and played the main role in the romantic movie Single Not Searching. Later that year, she also starred in the BET drama series Haus of Vicious.
In 2023, Brely continued to act in many projects. She was in the TV One and Lifetime drama film A Mother's Intuition. She also appeared in the comedy-drama Whatever It Takes. In the same year, she played GeGe in the We TV drama series Kold x Windy.
