Brendon Davis (born July 28, 1997) is an American professional baseball player. He plays in the infield and outfield. Brendon has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers. He is currently a free agent, which means he can sign with any team.

Early Baseball Days
Brendon Davis grew up in Lakewood, California. He went to Lakewood High School. Brendon was a talented baseball player. He planned to play college baseball at Cal State Fullerton.
Before his senior year of high school, Brendon broke his arm. This accident happened during the off-season. Because of his injury, he could not play in his final high school season.
Even with his injury, Brendon was still a top prospect. The Los Angeles Dodgers chose him in the 5th round of the 2015 MLB draft. He signed with the Dodgers for a signing bonus of over $900,000. This was more money than players usually get for being picked in that round.
Professional Career
Playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers
Brendon started his professional baseball journey in 2015. He played for two different teams that year. These teams were the AZL Dodgers and the Ogden Raptors. In total, he played 30 games and had a batting average of .254.
In 2016, Brendon played for the Great Lakes Loons. He hit .241 with 5 home runs. He also had 49 RBIs, which means he helped 49 teammates score runs. He started the 2017 season with the Loons again. Later that year, he moved up to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
Moving to the Texas Rangers
On July 31, 2017, Brendon was part of a big trade. The Dodgers traded him and two other players to the Texas Rangers. In return, the Dodgers received a famous pitcher named Yu Darvish.
Brendon finished the 2017 season with the Hickory Crawdads. He played 25 games for them. In 2018, he played for the Down East Wood Ducks. He hit .254 with 6 home runs and 40 RBIs. The next year, 2019, he played for the Frisco RoughRiders. His batting average was .202 with 3 home runs and 35 RBIs.
In 2020, Brendon did not play baseball. The entire Minor League Baseball season was canceled. This happened because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Joining the Los Angeles Angels
On December 10, 2020, the Los Angeles Angels picked Brendon. They chose him in the minor league part of the Rule 5 draft. This draft allows teams to pick players from other teams' minor league systems.
In 2021, Brendon played for three different Angels minor league teams. These were the Tri-City Dust Devils, the Rocket City Trash Pandas, and the Salt Lake Bees. He had a great year, hitting .290 with 30 home runs. He also had 83 RBIs and stole 16 bases.
Because of his strong performance, the Angels added him to their main roster in November 2021. He started the 2022 season back with the Salt Lake Bees. He hit .243 with 6 home runs and 25 RBIs in 36 games.
Playing for the Detroit Tigers
On May 20, 2022, the Detroit Tigers claimed Brendon. This means they picked him up after the Angels removed him from their roster. He then played 103 games for the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens. He hit .232 with 14 home runs and 47 RBIs.
On September 30, 2022, Brendon was called up to the major leagues for the first time! He made his MLB debut the next day against the Minnesota Twins. He got his first major league hit on October 4. It was a single against a pitcher from the Seattle Mariners. In his three games with the Tigers, Brendon had 2 hits in 10 tries. He also got one walk and stole a base.
After the season, the Tigers removed him from their main roster. He became a free agent. However, he re-signed with the Tigers on a minor league contract in November 2022. He started the 2023 season with the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens. He played 43 games, hitting .178 with 5 home runs and 14 RBIs. The Tigers released him in June 2023.
Second Time with the Los Angeles Dodgers
On January 4, 2024, Brendon signed another minor league contract with the Dodgers. He played 115 games for the Double-A Tulsa Drillers. He also played 8 games for the Triple-A Oklahoma City Baseball Club. Combined, he hit .229 with 10 home runs and 49 RBIs. After the season, he became a free agent again.
