Brent Briscoe (born May 21, 1961 – died October 18, 2017) was an American actor and writer. He was well-known for playing the character JJ on the TV show Parks and Recreation from 2011 to 2015.

Early Life and Beginnings
Brent Briscoe was born in Moberly, Missouri. After finishing his studies at the University of Missouri, he started his career performing in plays at the theater.
Acting and Writing Career
Brent soon moved from theater to working on movies. He became a screenwriter, which means he wrote scripts for films. He also continued acting in movies. He decided to live in Los Angeles permanently after working with the famous actor and director Billy Bob Thornton on the movie Sling Blade. Brent also often worked with his college roommate, Mark Fauser, on different projects.
His Passing
In October 2017, Brent Briscoe was taken to the hospital after he had a fall. This accident led to some serious health problems, including internal bleeding and issues with his heart. He passed away on October 18, 2017, when he was 56 years old.
