Brenton Bowen was born on May 21, 1983, in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. He is an Australian former rugby league player. He played for the North Queensland Cowboys from 2003 to 2007. Later, he joined the Gold Coast Titans in 2008. Brenton is also the cousin of famous Australian rugby league player Matt Bowen. Today, he is an ambassador for Deadly Choices, a health program.

Brenton Bowen's Rugby League Journey

His Early Days in Rugby

Brenton Bowen started playing junior rugby league when he was young. In 1999, he played for Cairns Brothers. The next year, in 2000, he played for Abergowrie College. This college is located near Ingham, Queensland. Brenton was a talented player from the start. He even represented Queensland in schoolboy teams. He played for both the Under-15 and Under-17 Queensland teams.

Playing for the North Queensland Cowboys

Brenton Bowen signed a contract with the North Queensland Cowboys. He made his very first top-level game appearance in March 2003. This important debut was against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles team. He played for the Cowboys until the end of the 2007 season. During his time with the Cowboys, he showed great skill on the field.

Moving to the Gold Coast Titans and Northern Pride

After his time with the Cowboys, Brenton decided to join a new team. On June 20, 2007, it was announced that he would play for the Gold Coast Titans. He joined the Titans for the 2008 season. After playing for the Titans, Brenton moved to the Northern Pride. The Northern Pride is a "feeder club" for the North Queensland Cowboys. This means it helps develop players who might later play for the Cowboys. In 2010, Brenton officially signed with the Northern Pride.
