Breslau is a small, unincorporated community located in Pierce County, Nebraska, in the United States. An unincorporated community is a place that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the larger county around it.

Breslau is situated on U.S. Route 20, which is a major road. It's found about halfway between the towns of Plainview and Osmond, right at the corner of 541st Avenue.

Breslau's Early Days

Breslau began to grow after the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad built train tracks through the area. Many of the first people to settle and build up Breslau were from Germany.

The community was named after a city called Wrocław, which was known as Breslau in German. This city was once part of Prussia and is now located in Poland.

A post office was opened in Breslau in 1911. It served the community for many years before it was closed down in 1935.
