Brett Rheeder, born on February 16, 1993, is a super talented professional mountain bike rider from Mount Albert, Ontario, Canada. He specializes in a cool style of riding called freeride and slopestyle. Brett is known as one of the best slopestyle riders ever! He's won the FMB World Tour Championship four times, which is more than anyone else. He's also won seven Crankworx events, including the big Red Bull Joyride in 2016.

Brett Rheeder has had an incredible career filled with many wins and achievements. He started making a name for himself in the world of mountain biking very quickly.
Early Wins and X-Games Gold
In 2013, Brett won his first gold medal in Slopestyle at the X Games in Munich, Germany. That same year, and again in 2014, he won the Vienna Air King competition. These early wins showed everyone how skilled he was.
Dominating Major Competitions
Brett continued to shine in big events. In 2014, he won the Bearclaw Invitational. He also placed second at the Red Bull Joyride in Whistler and the Red Bull District Ride in Nuremberg.
The year 2015 was also great for Brett. He won the Munich Mash and took first place in the first two events of the Crankworx World Tour. These events were held in Rotorua, New Zealand, and Les Deux Alpes, France.
More Crankworx and Red Bull Rampage Victories
In 2016, Brett won the prestigious Red Bull Joyride in Whistler. He kept up his winning streak in 2017, taking first at Crankworx Les Gets and second at Crankworx Innsbruck.
The year 2018 was especially memorable. Brett won Crankworx Rotorua. He also finally won Red Bull Rampage on October 26, 2018, after competing in the event five times. He also placed second at Red Bull Joyride and at Crankworx Les Gets and Innsbruck that year.
In 2019, Brett won at Crankworx Rotorua for a record third time! He also won at Innsbruck. He placed second at Red Bull Joyride in Whistler and Red Bull Rampage that year. His most recent big win was in October 2022, when he placed first in Red Bull Rampage again.
Teamwork and New Adventures
Brett Rheeder was part of the Trek C3 Project team with another famous rider, Brandon Semenuk. This team was ranked first in the Freeride Mountain Bike Factory Team Rankings in 2014, 2015, and 2017.
In January 2022, it was announced that Brett and Trek were going separate ways. Later that year, he shared that his new bike sponsor would be Commencal Bicycles.
Retirement from Competitions
In January 2023, Brett Rheeder announced that he was retiring from competitive riding. He explained that he wanted to focus on new ways to progress his riding. He also wanted to create new media, have fun with social media, and help develop the next generation of slopestyle and freeride riders. This includes helping with courses, training, and products for the sport.

From Hockey to Mountain Biking
Brett first played hockey. Then, he switched to cross-country cycling. Finally, he found his passion in slopestyle mountain biking.
Taking a Break from Competition
In 2020, Brett announced that he would take a temporary break from the Crankworx Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour. He shared on Instagram that he wanted to regain his creativity in slopestyle riding. He also felt that stepping back from the stress and injuries of competition would help him have a longer career.
