Brian Moses (born in 1950) is an English poet, a musician who plays percussion, and a writer of picture books. He mostly writes for children and has published over 200 books. He is known as a children's poet.

His poetry books and collections for Macmillan have sold more than 1 million copies! The TV channel CBBC even asked Brian Moses to write a special poem for the Queen's 80th birthday.

Brian Moses' Career Highlights

Brian Moses has had an exciting career. He was invited by HRH Prince Charles to speak at a special summer school for teachers. This event took place at Cambridge University in July 2007.

He was also one of ten children's poets chosen by the Poet Laureate, Andrew Motion. They were featured on a website that is part of the National Poetry Archive. This special website was launched in November 2005.

Brian Moses is also the founder and co-director of a program called the Able Writers' Scheme. This program helps young writers and is managed by Authors Abroad.
