Brian Ralph Quinnett (born May 30, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a small forward, which is a player who helps score points and rebound. Brian Quinnett played for three seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Brian Quinnett's Basketball Career
Brian Quinnett started his professional basketball journey after finishing college. He was chosen by the New York Knicks in the 1989 NBA draft. The NBA draft is where professional teams pick new players from colleges or other leagues. Brian was the 50th player picked overall that year.
Playing in the NBA
Brian mostly played for the New York Knicks. He also had a short time with the Dallas Mavericks during the 1991–92 season. He was traded to the Mavericks for another player named James Donaldson.
His best year in the NBA was the 1990–91 season. He played in 68 games for the Knicks. In those games, he scored about 4.7 points per game on average.
After the NBA
After his time in the NBA, Brian Quinnett continued to play basketball. He played for a short while in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). The CBA was another professional basketball league in the United States.
