Brighton Township is a community located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the larger Pittsburgh metropolitan area. In 2020, about 8,791 people lived here. The township was first settled in 1798 and officially became a township in 1816.

History of Brighton Township
In late 2007, there was an idea to combine Brighton Township with the nearby town of Beaver. The goal was to see if joining forces could help both communities save money and work better together.
How Towns Can Combine
There were two main ways this could happen:
- Merger: One town would become part of the other.
- Consolidation: Both towns would join to form a brand new town with a new name.
For any of these changes to happen, the people living in both places would need to vote and agree.
