History of Brighton Township

In late 2007, there was an idea to combine Brighton Township with the nearby town of Beaver. The goal was to see if joining forces could help both communities save money and work better together.

How Towns Can Combine

There were two main ways this could happen:

  • Merger: One town would become part of the other.
  • Consolidation: Both towns would join to form a brand new town with a new name.

For any of these changes to happen, the people living in both places would need to vote and agree.
