Brion Rush is an American professional basketball player. He was born on November 15, 1984. He currently plays for the Crailsheim Merlins team in Germany. Before becoming a pro, he played college basketball at Grambling State University.

College Basketball Journey
Brion Rush played college basketball for Grambling State. He was part of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). During his time there, he was a top player.
He scored about 19.5 points per game. He also grabbed 5.2 rebounds and made 2.8 assists per game. In 2003, he was named SWAC Freshman of the Year. This award goes to the best first-year player.
From 2004 to 2006, he was chosen for the All-SWAC first team three times. This means he was one of the best players in the conference. In 2006, he was even named SWAC Player of the Year.
Professional Career Highlights
After college, Brion Rush did not get picked in the 2006 NBA draft. But he still started his professional basketball journey.
Early Years in Europe
In August 2006, Rush signed with Aurora Basket Jesi in Italy. He played there for one year. In June 2007, he moved to France. He joined the Euroleague team Chorale Roanne Basket.
For the 2008–09 season, he played for Strasbourg IG in France. He was a fantastic scorer that season. He averaged 21.20 points per game, making him the second-best scorer in the league.
Playing in Russia and Kazakhstan
In September 2009, Rush signed with BC Triumph Lyubertsy in Russia. He played there for a year. In July 2010, he joined another Russian team, BC Krasnye Krylia, for two seasons.
In October 2012, he had a short time with Élan Chalon in France. Later that year, in December 2012, he moved to Kazakhstan. He signed with BC Astana. He played with Astana until April 2014.
Moving to New Teams
In February 2015, Rush signed with ratiopharm Ulm in Germany. He finished the season with them.
On December 29, 2015, he joined KK Sutjeska in Montenegro. He left that team in February 2016. The very next day, he signed with Azad University Tehran BC in Iran.
In October 2016, Rush played for ICL Manresa in Spain for a month. On December 18, 2016, he signed with SLUC Nancy Basket in France. He stayed with them for the rest of that season.
On August 1, 2017, Rush signed with the German team BG Göttingen. Since 2018, he has been playing for the Crailsheim Merlins in Germany.
