Brion Rush (born November 15, 1984) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a shooting guard for the Crailsheim Merlins team in Germany. Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for Grambling State University.

College Basketball Journey
Brion Rush played college basketball for Grambling State from 2002 to 2006. This team is part of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). During his time in college, he showed great skill. He averaged 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
College Achievements
Rush earned several awards during his college career:
- In 2003, he was named SWAC Freshman of the Year. This award goes to the best first-year player in the conference.
- From 2004 to 2006, he was chosen three times for the All-SWAC first team. This means he was one of the top players in the entire conference.
- In 2006, he was named SWAC Player of the Year. This is a big honor for the best player in the conference.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Brion Rush was not chosen in the 2006 NBA draft. However, he still started a successful professional basketball career.
Early Career in Europe
- In August 2006, he signed a one-year contract with Aurora Basket Jesi in Italy.
- In June 2007, Rush moved to France. He joined the Euroleague team Chorale Roanne Basket.
- For the 2008–09 season, he played for Strasbourg IG in France. He was the second-best scorer in the league that season. He averaged 21.20 points per game.
Playing in Russia and Kazakhstan
- In September 2009, he signed a one-year deal with BC Triumph Lyubertsy in Russia.
- In July 2010, he signed a two-year contract with another Russian team, BC Krasnye Krylia.
- In October 2012, he had a short time with Élan Chalon in France.
- In December 2012, he joined BC Astana in Kazakhstan. He played there for a few seasons. In April 2014, he signed again with Astana for another year.
Later Career and Current Team
- In February 2015, Rush signed with ratiopharm Ulm in Germany for the rest of that season.
- On December 29, 2015, he signed with KK Sutjeska in Montenegro. He left the team in February 2016.
- The very next day, he joined Azad University Tehran BC in Iran.
- In October 2016, Rush agreed to play for one month with ICL Manresa in Spain.
- On December 18, 2016, he signed with SLUC Nancy Basket in France for the rest of the season.
- On August 1, 2017, Rush signed with BG Göttingen in Germany.
- Since 2018, he has been playing for the Crailsheim Merlins in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) in Germany.
