Bristol is a small place in Ohio, United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Pike Township in Perry County.

Where is Bristol, Ohio?

Bristol is found in the southern part of Pike Township. It is located along State Route 93. This road meets Marietta Road and Township Road 223 in Bristol. The community is about 4 miles (6 kilometers) south of New Lexington. New Lexington is the main town and county seat for Perry County.

How Did Bristol Start?

Bristol was first planned out in 1816. When it was first created, it had a different name: Burlington. A few years later, in 1820, a post office was opened there. This post office was named Bristol, and that's how the community got its current name.
