This position is important for blocking shots and scoring points close to the net. Brittnee played for Louisiana State University (LSU) in college. She also played for professional teams like Rabita Baku.
Brittnee Cooper's Volleyball Journey
Brittnee Cooper was a star player in college. In 2009, she was named the best player in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). She also earned the top honor of being a 1st-team AVCA All-American. This means she was recognized as one of the best college volleyball players in the entire country.
She also played for the U.S. National A2 team in 2008 and 2009. This team helps develop players for the main U.S. National team.
After college, Brittnee played for professional clubs. One of her teams was Rabita Baku in Azerbaijan. With Rabita Baku, she competed in the CEV Champions League. This is a big competition for top volleyball clubs in Europe.
In the 2013–14 season, her team won the bronze medal. They played against strong teams from Russia and Turkey.
