The broad-palmed frog (Litoria latopalmata) is a cool frog that lives in eastern Australia. You can find it hopping around in places like Queensland and New South Wales. It's known for its wide, flat hands, which help it move around its watery home!
Where Broad-Palmed Frogs Live
This frog loves to hang out in forests and woodlands. It also enjoys areas near rivers, especially flood plains. You might spot it near billabongs, which are small lakes or ponds that stay wet all year, or other watery spots. These frogs need water to live and breed.
Life Cycle of the Broad-Palmed Frog
Broad-palmed frogs lay their eggs in groups. They place these egg clusters underwater. After the eggs hatch, the tadpoles swim around. It takes about 50 to 90 days for a tadpole to grow into a full-grown frog. That's usually less than three months!
