Steven James Brody (May 22, 1970 – February 22, 2019), known as Brody Stevens, was a funny American stand-up comedian and actor. He was famous for his energetic performances. Brody starred in his own reality TV show, Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!, on Comedy Central. He also appeared on popular shows like Chelsea Lately and in movies such as The ... (2009) and Due Date (2010).

Brody Stevens' Early Life
Brody Stevens was born Steven Brody in Los Angeles, California, on May 22, 1970. His family came from New Mexico and Arizona. His father, Harold Morris Brody, was a private investigator. Brody grew up in Los Angeles. Later, his family moved to Sacramento.
When Brody was eight, his parents divorced. He then lived with his mother and older sister in the San Fernando Valley.
High School and College Baseball
Brody went to Reseda High School. He was a great baseball player there, especially as a pitcher. He often struck out many batters in games. He even pitched at 88 miles per hour!
After high school, Brody earned a scholarship. He played college baseball for the Arizona State Sun Devils baseball team. He was a pitcher for them and helped his team by getting three saves.
Brody Stevens' Comedy Career
Brody Stevens first tried stand-up comedy in Los Angeles. Then he moved to Seattle. There, he started to develop his unique comedy style. He also helped create a local TV show called Brody and Teina. This show became very popular with a small group of fans.
He then spent three years doing comedy in New York City. Eventually, he found his home in the Los Angeles comedy scene.

Brody Stevens appeared on many TV shows. Some of these include Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Late Late Show. He was also a regular guest on Chelsea Lately.
In 2010, Brody started his own podcast called The Brody Stevens Experiment. He also co-hosted another podcast called Brode & Esther. Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!
In 2011, Brody Stevens starred in and produced a comedy series. It was for HBO and was called Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!. The famous actor Zach Galifianakis helped produce it. The show was released in 2012. It had six 15-minute episodes.
Because it was so popular, Comedy Central picked up the show. They added more footage. In 2013, it was released as twelve 21-minute episodes.
Live Performances
Brody Stevens performed at many comedy clubs in Los Angeles. He was well-known for his late-night shows at The Comedy Store. In 2013, he recorded a live comedy set for Comedy Central's The Half Hour. He also toured the country that summer. He performed on the Oddball Comedy Tour with comedians like Dave Chappelle.
