Brooke Allison Brodack (born April 7, 1986), known online as Brookers, is one of the very first people to become famous on YouTube. She started uploading funny short videos in September 2005. At that time, YouTube creators couldn't earn money from their videos.
In 2006, TV host Carson Daly offered her a contract, but it didn't lead to a TV show. For a short time in 2006, Brooke's channel had the most subscribers on YouTube. It was the first channel ever to reach 10,000 subscribers. She was also the first and only female creator to hold the top spot for subscribers. The New Yorker magazine called her "the first real YouTube star" in 2006.
Brooke later lived with another famous YouTuber, iJustine. After a while, she deleted her original YouTube channel. She then moved to Vadodara, India, and later returned to Los Angeles in 2017.
