Brooklyn is a town located in Green Lake County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In the year 2000, about 1,904 people lived there.
Two smaller communities, Pleasant Point and Sherwood Forest, are also part of the town of Brooklyn.

History of Brooklyn
How Brooklyn Got Its Name
When this area was first settled, it had a different name. It was called "Lexington."
Later, on January 10, 1849, when the town was officially set up, its name was changed to "Arcade."
But the name didn't stick for long! In the winter of 1850, the town's name was changed one more time. That's when it became "Brooklyn," the name it still has today.
