Broom Hill is a small place in Indiana, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Carr Township in Clark County.
The Story of Broom Hill
Broom Hill was started a long time ago, in the year 1851. A person named Thomas Littell founded the community. He began a business there that made brooms. This is likely how the community got its interesting name!
Early Services
For a short time, Broom Hill even had its own post office. It opened in 1855. People could send and receive letters right there. However, the post office didn't stay open for very long. It closed just two years later, in 1857.
