The Brown River flows into the west side of the Depot River. The Depot River then flows north, southeast, and north again, until it reaches the Big Black River (also known as Grande rivière Noire in French). The Big Black River then flows northeast in a zigzag pattern until it meets the Saint John River. The Saint John River flows east, then southeast, through all of New Brunswick. It finally empties into the north side of the Bay of Fundy, which opens up to the Atlantic Ocean.
