Bryan Clarence Murray (December 5, 1942 – August 12, 2017) was a Canadian ice hockey general manager and former coach. He worked as the general manager of the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Murray was also the general manager of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Florida Panthers and Detroit Red Wings. Murray also coached the Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Over his career, Murray has recorded over 600 victories in NHL regular season games and has taken his teams to the playoffs 12 times.
On July 21, 2012, Bryan along with his brother Terry and his nephew Tim, were inducted into the Shawville's Hockey Wall of Fame.
On November 13, 2014, Murray announced that he had Stage 4 colon cancer and that the cancer had spread to his liver and lungs. He said that "there is no cure for me at this point" and that he could have had the cancer for up to 10 years before it was detected. He died on August 12, 2017 at the age of 74.
