Early Life and High School Success

Bryan Randall grew up in Williamsburg, Virginia. He went to Bruton High School where he was a star athlete. He set amazing new records for his school in football. He had 6,508 passing yards and 8,034 total yards. In his last college game, he broke the school record for touchdown passes, with 47. He was also part of the 2000 AA State Championship basketball team.

Starting His College Career

In 2001, Bryan was the backup quarterback. He didn't play much, but he was learning. In 2002, he got his chance. The starting quarterback was hurt, so Bryan stepped in. He started the rest of the 12 games that season. In one exciting game against Syracuse, he threw for 504 yards and five touchdowns. This set a new record for the Big East Conference!

Balancing Sports and Big Wins

In 2003, Bryan was a busy guy! He played both basketball and football for Virginia Tech. He shared the quarterback role with another talented player, Marcus Vick. Bryan started all thirteen games, throwing for 1,996 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The 2004 season was a huge one for Bryan. He became the main starting quarterback. He threw for 2,264 yards and ran for 511 yards. He led his team to win their first ever ACC Championship! They even played in the 2005 Sugar Bowl, a very important game, where they almost beat Auburn. Because of all his great achievements, Bryan Randall was honored in Virginia Tech's sports hall of fame.

Professional Football Journey

Even though Bryan had a great college career, he wasn't picked in the 2005 NFL Draft. But that didn't stop him!

Early NFL Chances

On April 26, 2005, the Atlanta Falcons signed Bryan as a quarterback. He was later moved to their practice squad. In 2006, he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad. Then, in 2007, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed him, promising him a chance to play quarterback. However, he was released after the preseason games.

Playing in Canada

In 2008, Bryan signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was the team's third quarterback. He stayed with them until September 2009.

Indoor Football Success

Bryan Randall found a lot of success in indoor football leagues.

Richmond Revolution MVP

In 2010, he joined the Richmond Revolution. He led the team to an amazing 13-1 record! Bryan threw for 58 touchdowns and ran for 12 more, gaining over 2,000 yards. He was named the 2010 Indoor Football League (IFL) Most Valuable Player (MVP)!

Other Indoor Teams

After the Revolution, Bryan played for several other indoor teams. In 2011, he signed with the Richmond Raiders but got injured. In 2012, he played for the Allen Wranglers and then the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. He also played for the Pittsburgh Power in the Arena Football League (AFL).

In 2013, Bryan played for the Laredo Rattlesnakes in the Lone Star Football League (LSFL). He led them to the championship game and was named the league's MVP for leading in passing yards. From 2014 to 2015, he was a backup quarterback for the Philadelphia Soul in the AFL.

Later Career

In 2016, Bryan signed with the Duke City Gladiators. He was also chosen to play for the Qingdao Clipper in the China Arena Football League (CAFL). He was their starting quarterback and helped them reach the first China Bowl. He completed 94 passes for 1,288 yards and 25 touchdowns! He was even named an All-Pro North Division All-Star. In 2018, he joined the Richmond Roughriders.
