Bubeneč is a cool neighborhood in the northwest part of Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic. It's split between two parts of Prague, Prague 6 and Prague 7. Most of the buildings are in Prague 6.

Bubeneč is home to the famous Sparta Prague football (soccer) team and their stadium, Generali Arena. You can also find the huge Stromovka park there, which is a great place to relax. There's also a big convention center called Výstaviště.

Sometimes, people informally call Bubeneč "Little Moscow". This is because many buildings and businesses connected to the Russian government are located here. This includes the large Embassy of Russia.

What is the History of Bubeneč?

Bubeneč was first mentioned way back in 1197. This means it has a very long history! On October 26, 1904, Bubeneč became an official city. It stayed a city until 1921, when it joined with Prague to become part of the bigger capital.

Before World War II, many people from Russia moved to this area. It became a popular place for Russian immigrants to live.

In 1980, a statue of a person named Ivan Konev was put up in Bubeneč. This monument caused some disagreements over the years. Because of this, the statue was finally removed on April 3, 2020.
