Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is a cool state park located in the northwest part of Perry County, Kentucky. This park is a special place where you can enjoy nature and have fun. It covers about 856 acres (346 ha) of land. The main attraction here is Buckhorn Lake, which is a big lake created by building a dam on the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River. The lake itself is huge, covering about 1,230 acres (500 ha)! The park is also right next to the northern edge of the Daniel Boone National Forest, which is another amazing natural area.

- Moonshiner's Hollow Interpretive Trail: This trail is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long. It has 18 special stops that teach you about the rocks, plants, and animals in the area. It's a great way to learn while you walk!
- Leatherwood Trail: If you're an experienced hiker looking for a challenge, the Leatherwood Trail is a good choice. It connects with the Moonshiner's Hollow Trail.
