Bukola Oriola (born 1976) is a Nigerian-American journalist. She lives in Anoka County, Minnesota, with her son, Samuel Jacobs. Before moving to the United States, she worked as a journalist in Nigeria for six years. She reported on important topics like education in Nigeria.
In 2005, Bukola came to the United States. She had a special work permit to cover a United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York City. While in the U.S., she married a U.S. citizen. However, she soon faced a very challenging time. She was not free to work or connect with others, and her earnings were taken from her. This difficult period lasted for two years. Today, Bukola is a speaker, author, mentor, and advocate. She helps others and works to make a positive difference.
