Bullseye is a supervillain from Marvel Comics. He is a major enemy of both the superhero Daredevil and the assassin Elektra. Bullseye first appeared in comic books in 1976.

What makes Bullseye so dangerous is his incredible aim. He can turn almost any object into a deadly weapon. Even small, harmless things like paper clips or peanuts can be thrown with such accuracy that they become dangerous.

Bullseye's First Appearance

Bullseye first showed up in the comic book Daredevil #131. This issue was released in March 1976. He was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist John Romita Sr..

What is Bullseye's Real Name?

Bullseye's true name and where he came from are a mystery. He has used the name "Benjamin Poindexter" many times. He once said this was "just one of the many names he used." Sometimes, his name is given as "Lester."

In a comic series called Bullseye: Greatest Hits (2004), his past was explored. However, it was also hinted that much of his story might be made up by Bullseye himself. In that series, he was called Leonard and had a brother named Nate. Later, Nate's real name was said to be Lester.

Bullseye's Team-Ups

Joining the Thunderbolts

After a big event in the Marvel Universe called Civil War, Bullseye joined a new team. This team was known as the Thunderbolts. He became a key member of this group.

Becoming Hawkeye with the Dark Avengers

Later, during a storyline called Dark Reign, Bullseye joined another team. This team was the Dark Avengers. He even took on the superhero name Hawkeye. He starred in his own comic series called Dark Reign: Hawkeye.

As a member of the Dark Avengers, Bullseye played a big part in the crossover event Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia. He appeared regularly in the Dark Avengers comic series from 2009 to 2010.

Bullseye's Fights and Returns

Bullseye has had many intense battles. In the comic event Shadowland #1, Daredevil appeared to kill Bullseye. However, it was later confirmed that Bullseye was still alive in Daredevil vol. 3 #26.

Bullseye in Movies

Bullseye has also appeared in movies. The actor Collin Farrell played Bullseye in the 2003 movie Daredevil.
