Bump is a fun British animated TV show for kids. It was created by Charles Mills and Terry Brain, who also made other cool shows like The Trap Door and Stoppit and Tidyup. The show was first shown on BBC One from September 14, 1990, to December 26, 1994.
The main characters are Bump, a clumsy elephant, and his best friend Birdie, a smart bluebird. Bump often bumps into things, which is why he always has a bandage on his forehead! Birdie is always there to give Bump advice and help him be more graceful.
The series had two seasons with a total of twenty-six episodes. Each episode was about 5 minutes long. There was also a special Christmas episode that lasted 10 minutes. The show was narrated by Simon Cadell, a famous actor.
Bump and Birdie often meet other animals who have problems. They always try to help their friends find a solution. Some of these animals include Whizzer the mouse, Munch the tortoise, McDuff the dog, Big Bun and Little Bun the rabbits, and Batty the bat. All the funny sounds the characters made were created using special electronic instruments called analogue synthesizers.
