Bump is a fun British animated TV show for kids. It was created by Charles Mills and Terry Brain. They also made other popular cartoons like The Trap Door. The show first aired on BBC One in 1990 and ran until 1994.
The main characters are Bump, a clumsy elephant, and his clever friend Birdie, a bluebird. Bump often bumps into things, which is why he has a bandage on his forehead! Birdie is always there to give him good advice. Together, they go on many adventures.
The series has two seasons with a total of 26 episodes. Each episode is about 5 minutes long. There's also a special 10-minute Christmas episode. The stories were narrated by the actor Simon Cadell.
Bump and Birdie often meet other animals who need help. These friends include Whizzer the mouse, Munch the tortoise, McDuff the dog, and Batty the bat. Bump and Birdie always try to find solutions to their friends' problems. The animal sounds in the show were made using special electronic instruments called analogue synthesizers.
