Burica Peninsula facts for kids
The Burica Peninsula is a piece of land that sticks out into the Pacific Ocean. It's like a finger pointing south from the coast. This peninsula is special because it's shared by two countries: Costa Rica and Panama.
The western part of the peninsula belongs to Costa Rica. The eastern part, which is about two-thirds of the whole area, belongs to Panama. For Costa Rica, this peninsula is the southernmost point of the country, except for the faraway island of Coco. On the Burica Peninsula, you'll find several important spots. These include Punta Burica in Panama, which is the very tip of the peninsula. On the Costa Rican side, you'll find Punta Gorda and Punta El Mangle.
